Electrical History Review
We have created an e-journal dedicated to the history of
electrification, and its social consequences. We believe that
the history of electrification is important because it addresses
some of the most important issues in modern history, including
the rise of the modern corporation, the birth of government
regulation, the battle between private and public ownership, and
the social impact of technology. We hope that the journal will
become a forum for debate on historiographic issues, and an aid
to research. We are interested in all aspects of electrical
history, but, because of other journals, plan to concentrate on
electric lighting, traction, and power. We are an English-
language journal, but do not assume this is the only voice of
scholarship. The e-journal will publish book reviews, letters,
research tools, news, and descriptions of ongoing research. We
do not plan to publish scholarly articles.
