The Museo della Specola (Department of Astronomy, University of
Bologna) exhibits, in the XVIIIth century Specola, the instruments used by
the Bolognese astronomers from the XVIIth to the XIXth century.
The first part of the Catalogue presents a review of the history of
Astronomy at the Bolognese Studio from the IXth century to the recent
multi-mirror telescope.
The second part illustrates each instrument with images, references
to archival and bibliographic sources and so on.
The third part offers a wide bibliography, the list of all
inventoried objects and the index of 350 names.
The Catalogue, with a Preface by G.L'E Turner, is both in Italian
and in English.
